Hello Stewart and Joanna
I have just had a conversation with my cousin Doug about your search for the connection to Uncle Harry.  Henry Hutchison Templeman ( some info has Hutchinson not sure of spelling) born in 1884.
Here is the family connection (short version)  so you can see how Doug and I are related to Uncle Harry.

Christina Rolland (called Teen) married William Alfred Fairbairn
Matthew Hutchison Aug 10,1896 - Jan 20,1978 married July 18,1919 Ivy (Armitage)
Anne Bird 1900-May 19,1974 married  Joesph Lafleche

Matthew and Ivy had 4 children

I lived with Auntie Anne in Edmonton while I went to school. Thomas and Elizabeth owned the house. Harry and Anne lived with them. (they all died from that house.) The stories of Elizabeth sound like she could be the one that would not accept people,that she would deem, of being from the wrong class. A few family members were targeted.

I know that Bob and Tam came to Canada first and worked in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They got sick so Elizabeth came to Canada to take care of her boys. The rest of the family immigrated to Canada (around 1905?.) The whole family made Edmonton, Alberta their home.
